Overview
BSc Fashion Design equips you to turn creative ideas into well-designed, marketable clothing and fashion products. At KNUST, you combine artistic development with technical and entrepreneurial skills that can support Ghana’s growing fashion, textiles and creative economy.
What you will study
You study fashion illustration, design theory, garment construction, pattern drafting, textiles, colour, fashion history and apparel production. You also build skills in computer-aided design, collection development, merchandising, branding, entrepreneurship and portfolio presentation.
Career prospects
You can become a fashion designer, pattern cutter, stylist, costume designer, apparel product developer, fashion illustrator or creative director. You may work with Ghanaian fashion houses, textile companies, film and television productions, retail brands or international fashion and lifestyle businesses, or launch your own label.
