BSc Nursing prepares you to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care across hospitals, communities and homes. What you will study

You study anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal and newborn care, child health, mental health, community health and nursing ethics. Clinical placements help you develop assessment, patient education, treatment, communication, leadership and emergency-care skills.

Career prospects

You can work as a professional nurse, community health nurse, ward nurse, theatre nurse, public health nurse or nurse administrator with the Ghana Health Service, private hospitals, Christian Health Association of Ghana facilities and other healthcare organisations. With further training, you can specialise in areas such as critical care, midwifery, mental health, paediatrics or nursing education, while international opportunities exist in hospitals and care systems abroad.
