BEd Early Childhood Education equips you to guide young children through their most important formative years using developmentally appropriate teaching. In Ghana, the programme responds to the need for well-trained kindergarten and lower-primary educators who can improve school readiness and inclusive learning.
What you will study
You study child psychology, early childhood curriculum, play and creativity, emergent literacy, early mathematics, health and nutrition, inclusive education, and classroom management. Teaching practice helps you apply assessment, storytelling, educational technology, family involvement, and learning-centre design.
Career prospects
You can become a kindergarten teacher, early-years coordinator, childcare administrator, teacher educator, or early childhood programme officer. Career settings include Ghana Education Service, private and international schools, Montessori centres, NGOs, district education offices, and international development agencies.
