What you will study

Your coursework covers anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, pathology, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, manual therapy, musculoskeletal conditions, neurological rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary care, and community physiotherapy. Clinical placements help you practise patient assessment, rehabilitation planning, treatment delivery, progress monitoring, and health education.

Career prospects

After the required professional registration, you can work as a physiotherapist in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, private practices, sports organisations, schools, and occupational health programmes. Possible employers and sectors include Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Ghana Health Service, private clinics, sports clubs, disability-focused NGOs, research institutions, and overseas rehabilitation services.

Who this programme may suit

You will do well if you are interested in the human body, enjoy practical problem-solving, and can encourage patients through challenging recovery. A patient, observant, physically active, and compassionate personality is a strong advantage.
