Overview
HND Mechanical Engineering Technology gives you practical training to support the design, production, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. At Koforidua Technical University, the programme can prepare you for technical roles serving Ghana’s growing manufacturing, automotive, construction and industrial sectors.
What you will study
You study applied mathematics, engineering science, engineering drawing, workshop processes, mechanics, thermodynamics, machine design, materials and production technology. Through workshops, laboratory sessions and industrial attachment, you build competence in fabrication, machining, maintenance planning, quality control and computer-aided design.
Career prospects
You can pursue roles such as mechanical engineering technician, plant maintenance technician, production technician, quality control technician or workshop supervisor.
