Overview
The LLB Law programme at Central University gives you a broad foundation in Ghanaian law and the skills needed to understand, interpret and apply legal rules. It is a strong choice if you want to serve individuals, businesses and public institutions through advocacy, legal advice or governance.
What you will study
You study constitutional, criminal, contract, tort, land, family, commercial and administrative law, together with legal research and Ghanaian legal institutions. The programme strengthens your abilities in legal writing, case analysis, negotiation, advocacy and professional ethics.
Career prospects
After the required professional training and qualification, you can practise as a lawyer or work as a legal officer, company secretary, compliance analyst, policy adviser or court administrator. Career opportunities exist in law firms, corporate organisations, banks, the Attorney-General’s Department, courts, public agencies, NGOs and international institutions.
